A local shop has an AF-d 60mm. micro lens for sale at £220 and I thought of trying to part exchange an unwanted 18-135 AF-s for it, any thoughts on the price they are asking, and how is this lens rated ?
Not a bad price. It's a stunningly sharp lens. All metal. Great for portraits as well as macro, I had one for my D90 a while back. Only sold it on to get the 105mm.
OK, Thanks for replying, I think I'll go for it, I'm not that familiar with the prices on the older lenses and your comments on the sharpness has convinced me.

It sounds a little on the high side to me but I suppose it depends what sort of warranty it comes with. I bought one a while ago from CEX for £155. Not immaculate but decent enough. It's a great lens though, I certainly recommend it.
