Whilst browsing for a good deal on a D300s I noticed that they had a £200 cashback offer on any Nikon lens over £400 bought with it.

The only lenses within my budget that are over £400 that I am interested in are the 60mm AF-S macro and the 105mm AF-S macro.

I was just wondering what the differences between them are (apart from focal length) in terms of sharpness and the quality of the background blur (Bokeh). I am quite a bokeh addict, would anyone be able to post examples from both? I'm quite stumped about this one.

Cannot commnet on the blur but I have both lenses and I prefer the 60mm

i was looking at a macro to take pictures of my tropical fish

on a fish forum, it was recommended to get the 105mm as the 60mm meant the camera was very close to the tank glass

in the same vein, sticking a lens close to say an insect would scare the subject to leave..?
