Nikon 70-200 f4 would you buy from Jessops?

I'm currently looking at replacing a nikon 70-200 f2.8 I sold in the summer with a nikon 70-200 f4 (I miss the focal range and having a light medium telephoto lens). After a lot of research it seems the f4 version would suit me better for what I want to use it for and the advantages (less weight, sharper across the frame, no focus breathing) outweigh the disadvantages (not f2.8).

I've been looking at camera price buster and it seems Jessops is the cheapest place to buy new and with the current cash back offer it's £815 new. Currently the cheapest I have found second hand is £789 for a exc++ at MPB, it's seems silly not to purchase new for an extra £26.

Looking at Jessops it's a special order so delivery is up to 28 days and can't be purchased in store. Has anyone purchased like this from Jessops recently? I'm a little worried about purchasing and either not getting the lens if they go belly up again or missing out on the cash back offer if the delivery date goes beyond the cash back offer.

With cash back I know it's a payment card rather than actual cash back. Could I use it at places like wex or Robert White for internet purchases as I'm thinking of getting a couple of lee filters in the next few months.

They seem to be decent Jessops, I'm in the same boat the price of the 70-200 f4 there looks really good although I'm not sure if I'm willing to wait the 28 days - as you say the used prices look a bit silly v the current cashback deal.

Cashback is usually on a pre-paid Debit (VISA) so can be used for online purchases.

Thanks for the reply Chris. New v used does look a bit silly especially when you get longer warranty and would be first owner. When you look at the price of used 70-200 f2.8 vr2s being £1000-1200 there is no comparison against the 70-200 f4 used/new price. It's seems either not many have purchased it or are not looking at selling it on if they have purchased it. I'm not going to be looking to sell it on in the future either as performance and weight wise it's perfect to add to the bag just in case it's needed or for days when I don't want to stand out with a big telephoto lens. I don't mind waiting 28 days if I do get it for £815 as I have no plans to use it until January.
 
yeah buy from jessops, u could check to see if u can get any topcashback too :D

Weight is one of the biggest advantages, it would help when I don't want to be lugging around my 200-400 at zoos and wildlife parks, feel to conspicuous walking around with that! I think we spoke about your 100-300 f4 but it seems I've come to the same conclusion as you wants a lighter set up.
