I have just read Bjørn Rørslett's review of the MkI Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 and was surprised by his views on its performance on FX. Is there anyone out there who can tell us if the MkII is any better, please?
That review says it's an excellent lens - what's the problem?
The main difference between the VR MkI and MkII is the improved VR performance and the addresing of the vignetting-issue on FX cameras which TBH isn't that much of a drama - I have a MkI and it's not that noticable (though I tend to add vignetting to a lot of my images anyway, so maybe it's personal preference).
I certainly won't be replacing the one I have for the newer model anytime soon.
