With an impending move to Canon my mate made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I've sold my lens to him

It's slightly premature but the offer made it cost neutral to me and is still cheaper than he could buy a new one due to when I bought it. You never know what will happen in a few months time- it is (or was
) in pristine condition but it could always have got damaged and I'd have lost money so seems pretty fair all round I think.
Anyway, I now feel somehow not quite complete without a 70-200 so just wondering if there are any fast lenses out there to tide me over for a few months.
The 70-300 is too slow, thought about an 80-200 but perhaps too dear although there are different ones- probably only looking to spend about £300. I usually only buy Nikon and recently have been in anti-Sigma mode again but given the money I'm prepared to spend am willing to try them again.
There's the Sigma 50-150 and the Tokina 50-135 but are there any older classics I am missing that aren't manual focus?
