Nikon 70-300mm VR

Hi,

Does anyone know the length of the Nikon 70-300mm VR when it's extended?

Bottom of lens mount through to top of lens, without hood.

lol - Andy. Nope, I'm looking at the Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 which according to Sigma is 138mm - and wanted to know how big it was in comparison to the Nikon 70-300mm VR (seeing that I know how big that felt). Haven't had time to see one in the flesh yet.

the op asked for fully extended and that is nearer 210mm i,ve just measured mine in real money the sigma is three and a half inches shorter hth mike

Sorry Shane yes Mike is right,145mm is the closed measurement not the extended.
