Yes
Last night at the CC there was a Nikon 80 -200mm lens for sale.

Whoa what a weight, not a lens that you would want to lug about all day. I was thinking about getting one but am now having second thoughts.

Yeah its quite a heavy lens but not that bad.I have used mine for a full day shooting and its fine especially if you use a black rapid with it.Hardly know its there.

I used to have a 70-200 too, and dont find it too bad, the first day I had it made the arms ache but you get used to it.

I have a Optech strap which may help, will have to give it more thought.

I've just bought the AF-D version, I discounted the AF-S version as it was just far too heavy.

I'm used to lugging a Sigma 150-500 around so its not that different. Just found the S version harder to handle with no VR than the D.

Only had one proper play with it so far but fairly happy with the results.

Looking at the various Black rapid straps, there seems to be so many. Difficult to know what to choose.

Would the Black Rapid strap be any better than the Optech one I have ?.

I've got one and have carried it around all day. You get used to it.

Not used the optech so couldn't say. I use the rs5 cargo and cant imagine using any other type of strap now. So comfortable and even with heavy load easy to carry all day.

I had the older version without a tripod collar. I used to attach it to my D90 and attach my BR-Sport strap to the body with it on, no problems.

I've got the AF-S version (as recommended by a few pros), fantastic lens especially for the price.
