Nikon 85 f/1.4 with tele-converter, anyone done that?

Has anyone used any tele-converter with this lens? If so, what were the results like; I would appreciate any pictures please.

That would have been my initial thought; but I've read on NikonCafe of a user who has used the Kenko 1.4x and 2x t.c. with the 85/1.8 :shrug: ... so, I figured it must be doable with the /1.4 model :thinking:
 
The 1.8 is different, the rear element is inside the lens not flush with the mount like the 1.4.

I've not seen the Nikon 1.4tc so can't say but I'm pretty sure it wont work. My Sigma convertor wouldn't ( not that I'm gonna try it )

The Kenko teleconverters would seem to be of a slightly different construction to the usual Nikon models in that their internals don't protrude.

I'd imagine that gives them a more widespread compatibility with lenses than the official Nikon models but something has got to give and I'd hazard a guess at that being the IQ.
