Nikon 85mm 1.8g shortage?

Anyone know if there is a shortage of this lens? I have tried most of the major suppliers and everyone is out of stock with the exception of Digital Rev. Just wondered if either it is that popular or are Nikon not keeping up with demand? Was hoping to buy one this weekend

Yes, Nikon not supplying enough stock from what I understand. Retailers told me last friday they would take 1-2 weeks to get stock.
