Nikon 85mm f1.4D - Serial nr

Hi,

Just bought a second hand lens.

I have all new glass normally with the serial number in full view.

Were would I find the serial number on this particular lens

Should be on the aperture ring, very faint though.

It's on the backside of the lens near the mount point. Just right of where it says Made in Japan. In light gold writing

The serial number is on the Aperture ring at about the 4:30 position looking at the lens from the front. Distance window at 12:00.
