Everyone is talking about the Nikon D4 since the announcement today.

The 85mm f1.8G is definite something that we all want to look into, even replacing the old 85mm f1.8D.

After looking into buying the AF-D version of a long time but now I have to reconsider.

The cheaper 85mm f1.8G certainly is attractive with faster and silent AF and i'm sure the optic is fantastic too.

How many planning to upgrade? also if everyone on upgrade that means the older AF-D will be flooded on the used market?
 
If it's better than the AF-D version optically, it'll be sensational. For the peeps who don't have a motor built into the bodies (D5000 etc) this will be attractive I'm sure
 
I was looking at the AFD version to complete (??!) my prime line up but I'll hold fire now, if it's not much optically better I'll just get the AFD but you never know!

Due out in March I believe.
 
i can wait till March :) and hopefully can get it and use it on a wedding shoot in May :)
