Hi,
I'm looking at getting a 85mm prime for my D7000, but I'm not sure which model to go for.
I can't afford the F/1.4G so it's a really a choice between the F/1.8G and the F/1.8D.
Now for me the obvious choice would be a G, as it's the newer version, had a SWM and can focus closer. But after looking into it I've found a lot of people prefer the D, for it's metal interior, 9 aperture blades as opposed to 7 and all round better build quality. As well as the fact you make a saving of around £80.
Recommendations?
