Nikon 90D remote and Canon 40D

Is the Nikon 90D got a built in Wifi for Remote shutter or is it IR?

Also what is the Canon 40D?

The 40d only has a wired remote socket but you can buy a wireless adapter setup something like .... This

The ML-L3 (D90 remote) is infra-red.

ive got a remote that cost £1 off ebay (with another £1 for p+p) for my D50 and it works perfectly well with the D90 aswell.

Hi,
I bought a Hama wireless remote for my 40D from ebay, pricey at £29 but I wanted it from a UK buyer for safety and to have a genuine warranty. It has been living up to its name so far. I am sure there are others who have had success with cheaper ones as well.
