Seen a lens today (second hand) can't now :bonk: fully remember which one it was of the above.

Anyway I can't find that much on either lens - Does anyone have one of them and can offer advice on if either is any good and what one might be worth ?

For use on a D70s (so it will auto-focus) and one day a D90 (one day :( ).

Thanks

There was a 70-210 f/4-5.6D which was a budget push-pull zoom back in the '80s and early 1990's.
If you're not bothered about the one-touch zoom (I hate it, preferring a two-touch zoom), then it should be OK.
Not much out there better for the money apart from the new 70-200 VR lenses...and it's still much better than 3rd party lenses.

The 75-240 f/4.5-5.6 is a similar beast: one-touch, variable aperture, pretty sharp if you get a good one etc...

Both lenses will need to be looked at very closely as stuff this old can either be very good or totally crap, depending on how well it was looked after...

Cheers Arkady - mikght pop back to the shop tomorrow and have a closer look. (it's up for £90, which seems pretty good as they have a 70-300 AF-S (silver finish) for the same price, but from waht you are saying the older lens (a good one) is better.
