Nikon AF lens question

I have a Tamron 80-210mm f/4.6-5.6 lens that I'm selling but I'm unsure if it has a built in AF motor for the more basic Nikon cameras which dont have their own motor.
The lens does have the slotted drive screw for focusing from the body but compared to one of my lenses which I know doesn't have an AF motor the Tamron is noisier and has much more resistance when adjusting the focus ring by hand, not like the focus is binding but a more constant feeling.

So, does the presence of the af slot indicate that the lens does NOT have its own motor?

I'm not 100% sure but I do believe the presence of the slot drive does indicate it has no built in motor. Also, I assume this is an older lens - I'm also of the opinion that it's a relatively recent thing for Tamron to add the AF motors.
