does anybody have a nikon afs 85 vr lens would be glad of anbody thoughts
good or bad looking for macro lens for d7000

You can pick up a used 105/2.8 D Micro for around the same cost, which would give you a bit more working distance on the close up stuff LINK

I bought this lens to go with my D90 as I couldn't afford the forum 'preferred' 105mm f/2.8 at the time. I am most satisfied with it when using it for portraiture although I haven't really shot much macro with it so can't comment on that perspective!

Most sharp at the 'typical' aperture settings and very lightweight so easy to handle.
