A friend of mine is trying to photograph insects etc. and she would like to know what are the best lens options to suit a non-motor body Nikon for this purpose.
I'm getting confused as Nikon do 60mm, 85mm and 105mm Micro which may suit DX vs. FX so I'm not sure which is best. Other makes like Tamron, Sigma and Tokina are fine too.
Obviously I think the cheapest option would be preferred even if this involves manual focus. I don't know how realistic this is on the D3000 as there is no live view if that matters.
Thanks in advance for your help.
