Nikon AF20-35 F2.8D IF or 18-35 OR PRIME.

I am looking for a wide angle lens on a budget.

This is for a D700 and my choice is either the 20-35 or a 20mm f2.8 prime i am even considering the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D ED-IF AF
Obviously i am wanting the best optics rather than best build quality

Any thoughts

I'm happy enough with my 18-35 that I'm not considering anything else for wide-angle duties, it's a useful range and sharp enough, especially stopped down. Build quality isn't the best but I can't argue with the images it produces. Nice and light too.
