Nikon Ai Conversion kit

i have a nice near Mint 50mm Nikon Nikkor Koguru 50mm f2.0 pre-Ai lens which i am wanting to convert to Ai so it will work on my Nikon/Fuji S5 digital cameras

i understand that there are or were Ai Aperature ring kits available though i am unable to find one.if anyone knows where i might get one i would appreciate your input.

i am not wanting to mutilate the lens by file-ing down certain parts of the existing ring which i am told might be an option,it is not an option to me

I would try Grays of Westminster, they may be able to help, or point you in the right direction.

meanwhile if anyone else knows of other suppliers...

or has an old one of these lenses that have been converted and not working/beyond reasonable repair and wants to let it go.......

You are welcome, did some digging myself and it may be a problem finding one, looks like Nikon stopped making them, there were a few on ebay, but all in the USA.

thanks for another great link.shame its a US one though.i have made enquiries elsewhere and will wait for further replies though in the meanwhile i may have to consider a D40X or other as back-up as i have several nice pre-ai lenses in my kit.

this morning Grays of Westminster got back to me and no luck,they say that the conversion kit is long time unavailable.also Aperture have got back to me too and they too say conversion kits are not available now

couple of other enquiries have come to a dead end too.

as i have 4 nice pre-ai lenses the D40X or D5100 now seem a more realistic option
