Nikon, Canon MP e65 equivalent?!

There is no eqiuvalent to the Canon MP e65 in the Nikon range.

Why not? and what would be the best way to achieve the same results.

I would think a 50mm, 60mm or 85mm macro lens on a set of auto bellows such as the Novoflex ones. Not cheap though, mind, neither is an MPe65.

Been there done that and swapped to Canon.............theres nothing that will get you the useability and magnification on a Nikon.
