Can I use the commander mode of my D200 to control my sb600 and an Ebay trigger at the same time to control my SB-22? does the hotshoe receive a signal if commander mode is being used? and can I damage my camera doing this? I'm at work so I can't play at the minute!

Cheers

I'd like to know too :)

I have a D700 & SB900 and usually use the popup flash to command the SB900. I am looking out for cheap flash units on ebay and already have a cheap ebay trigger/receiver.

Would the trigger fit on the camera with the pop-up up? (will try when I get home!)

Just noticed I put this in the wrong forum! :bonk:

Anyone any ideas on the above?

I don't think it will - reasoning behind that would be that commander mode sends a stream of flashes from the pop up - if you were to have an SB800/SU800/SB900 mounted on the hotshoe acting as commander instead (or an ebay transmitter on there) that too would send several flashes meaning that the ebay trigger would fire at the first information flash and not the last one which is the actual lighting flash-does that make sense?

But I'm probably wrong
