Nikon D 300 Lens

Reading all the threads on Lens made me think am I a little stupid I have :

1 Sigma 18 to 250

2 Sigma 12-24

3 Sigma 150 to 500 (currently under reapair with Sigma used three times)

I am wondering at times could do with somthing a little less than 12 to 24, am I being stupid

My activities are Cars and Animals Landscape, or do we agree I have enough choice

Any advice please

Personally 12mm is wide enough, I dont think the difference 2mm would make if you got a 10-20 sigma is worth it, or you spend a huge ammount of money on something wider which you will only once in a while.

Yes 12mm is virtually as wide as you are going to get. You have 3 choices

1 - Go full frame
2 - Get a 10-20mm (not much better)
3 - Stand further back !

The only thing I would change is the 18-250 which I would replace with a 24-70 or similar. If you really want wider than 12mm on a crop body, I would be very tempted to get a relatively cheap 35mm film body - even fairly good models are ridiculously cheap compared to FF DSLRs leaving loads of change for films, D&P and scanning.
