Hello all...first post ! What are your thoughts on timescales for a price drop starting on the d800 ? Looking to go full frame..the 800 is quite a price jump from the 700 ..is it worth the increase ? Are 700's still available new? ... Have a couple of fx lens so no problem there.

Welcome Stephen, there are a few posts here now discussing the pros/cons of the D800 - a search would provide you with quite a bit of information. As for a price drop, probably too soon to say as they are probably still behind in fulfilling orders!
That said, there is a used one for sale in the classified currently, though you will need to wait and participate a bit before you get access there.
