Yes
I know this has been mentioned before but the complete series is now available for download. This is more than 10 hours of often useful information and videos so well worth giving it a try.

D Town TV RSS link

Link for browsers !!

oooo I want the Nikon 200mm f2 from the first lens program

Try the second link, Safari on the Mac handles RSS feeds etc but IE gets confused and passes it to outlook. The above link should be fine for either machine.

I have just downloaded the entire series and will be popping it on DVD later, they explain lots of settings that you thought you already understood :bonk: After listening to them you realise that you didn't actually understand the settings before but you do now.

Check out their explanation of the difference between DX and FX though! Got to be the worst explanation I have ever seen. I doubt anyone who does not already understand it would follow what they are actually talking about!

I have just finished two new tips which will be for the convention weekend showing how to use iDVD to create 3 DVDs containing this series of DTown TV in a step by step way. So anyone who hasn't tried iDVD yet look out for TIPS 324 & 325. Anyone with a PC that doesn't have access to iDVD and is coming to the convention and really wants them on DVD give me a PM :)

Well that has made my evening stuck in a hotel room by myself a little more bareable. Thanks for the link

No mention from them for the 105mm DC which is as cheap as chips in comparison.

Thinking of cheap, howzabout the painted backdrop ;)

I may be being a bit dim, but I can't work out how to download the D-Town TV episodes from the links in the 1st post.

Can someone tell me how please?

Can you view them in your browser from the 2nd link? If so, and you want to save them, either use an application for saving YouTube and similar vids, or go diving in your browser's cache for files of 100+MB and rename them with the FLV extension. You'll need a suitable media player, or something to convert the files to another video format.

IE gets confused by passing cars, it's rubbish, sadly this is works machine and they don't like firefox.
Thanks for the second lnke.

Apparantly they are on itunes, makes it nice and easy to download

Now to download the episodes RIGHT click on each link in turn and select "Save target as" then a window will pop up on screen which is the standard "Save As" dialogue. Save them to a folder on your computer after changing the File name to "Episode 1" etc. DO NOTE CHANGE THE FILE SUFFIX/TYPE

To play them

Just double click on them and they should play in QuickTime. If you have not got QuickTime then it is a FREE download.

Download QuickTime for the PC

Great link. Just downloading them on a podcast for perusal later on my ipod touch.

The files are fine with the FLV extension. A Windows freebie to play them with is the Applian FLV Player. I've never liked QuickTime!

There are always several ways to do things and grabbing them from your cache, renaming them as FLV files and running them using Applian is a perfectly legitimate route. I chose my method due to its simplicity to explain to everyone and the fact that it is Windows version independent from W98 onwards. If I had to start giving the location for the cache on different versions and even unhiding the directory on certain versions it would just get more complicated. You are clearly very computer literate but I have found that simplifying things for those that are not means that they can share the goodies too. This has come from writing 330 tips over the past 11 months :)

Thanks for posting the links cowasaki. I hadn't got round to trying to get them today myself. And I doubt I would be able to do it anyway. ;)

Just going to resurrect this thread in case people have missed it. Oh and there is a new series on their web site too.

Smashing, I've been wanting to download these for a while as my Father only has mobile broadband... he'll be pleased that I can download them for him :)
