Nikon D200 Soft focus?

Im not sure if its just me but I have had my D200 for a while now and have noticed most of the photographs I take suffer from a soft focus, Im doing absolutely nothing different than when I shot with a D5000, D80 or D40 and never had such a problem.

Has any one else had a similar issue, is it common or is it just me?

Example image, shot @50mm F1.8 focusing on the near eye (OK they were closed!), although I have the lens wide open, it still looks to soft to me where it should be sharp as a nail! (near side of the face) - this is actually one of the much better ones taken over the last few days.

which 50? i had an f/1.8D that was a little soft wide open..
stop it down a bit & it was razor!
 
That image looks sharp enough for me... but it's very low res, so not really of much use. The eyelashes are sharp.... some parts are soft, but that's down to shallow DOF rather than focus. Any chance of a full res version?
 
I've seen different lens/body combinations perform differently..it's pretty common.
I have a lens that takes a 0 AFMA adjustment on my D4 but a +15 on my D800.... I don't think the D200 has AFMA; at least I never used it.
 
Images are still too small to tell. However, if you don't know how to upload at full res, then clearly you have no need to do that, so unless you print big, I wouldn't worry, as they look fine at this resolution.
 
I have 2 D200s and initially though there was focussing issues especially when I bought a Sigma 70-200 OS, after plenty of chopping and changing it was actually the DOF from shooting wide open soon as I stopped it down the images improved no end.
 
Thanks for all the replys guys, I think it must just be me - my wife seems to think they look fine but thought it was worth asking on here :)
