Nikon D300 2 questions?

Hi Guys,

A quick 2 questions for you to answer please.
#1, I am using a Nikon d300 with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens. If I then use a 1.4x teleconverter (also Sigma) will it slow down the autofocus? I am mainly using it in continuous mode.

#2, Is there any known exposure problems with the D300? Mine seems to over expose Again I'am using the above lens.

Yes it will slow the a.f a little but not by much.

is the over exposure issue caused by the camera think you are using the wrong F number? I.e when you using F4 on the lens, it really is F4 x 1.4 ?

I've heard a few suggest it exposes to the right so just dial in some ex comp to suit your style of shooting.

I use the 1.4 with a Sigma 100-300 on a D300 and the AF difference is minimal shooting motor sport.
