Hi all,

I've got the above combo and all I get is the dreaded fEE error when attaching the lens to the camera.

Usually it's caused by not locking the aperture ring in the right place, but I've double/triple checked that, and it's not that.

I've also tried cleaning the contacts, in case it was some odd error like that, but to no avail.

Any thoughts?

I'd like to get it fixed if possible, but if it's broken, then so be it :bat:

Oddly, I did (a while ago) try it on my D90, which has now gone back for repair and it seemed to work OK - However, every other lens I've tried on the D300 works fine too, so it must be either something with the lens, or the lens/body interaction.

Should've mentioned that in my first post really...

Curious... There is a broken piece on the back of the lens, but I think it's just cosmetic, the f-min on the camera is still there, as well as the EE servo coupling too...

Think it's just knackered - it's not worth sending to Nikon, so might just see if I can get a few quid for it on the bay if I can't fix it :)
