nikon d300 and sigma 80 400 os

Hi

I've been offered a mint d300 ( 50 actuations) and a sigma zoom lens for £1000. Is this a good deal? to be honest I quite like the idea of trying the d300 out and seeing how it compares to my 550d in terms of ease of use, ergonomics, IQ, metering and the like

However I cant see me wanting to keep the sigma, too heavy for me I think - what do you guys think it would be worth and would it be easy to sell on here?

its a great deal i would say, the d300 will wipe the floor with you canon.
it has a far superior af, faster fps, nikon metering system(which is suppose to be the best) and the build quality will be worlds apart.
and if the sigma is no good for you shift it on you should get £400 if in good condition,
you defo sure its a 80-400mm os.

I would have a good play with the D300 as it may not feel right to you after having a Canon. It is a cracking camera though and you won't be dissapointed with the results as long as you get some half decent glass :thumbs:

I guess you also have to consider what investment you currently have in Canon stuff and look to see if there is equivilent Nikon to do what you want.
