Nikon D3000 - is this a good price?

In my local camera shop, I've been quoted £299 for a boxed as new, refurbished D3000 with the VR lens.

I'm only interested in that at the moment, as I'm borrowing my friend's D40, and I really like the 3000. I've had a play with it in the shop, and I want it.

So I'm just wondering, is that a good price? Or should I try to negotiate a lower value?
