NIKON D3200 - Tamron 70-300 Di USD VC

Hi. I have that lens on that camera and its good for me.

Lol to be truthful, ive just started photography with a DSL but to me it seem fast enough. Maybe you should Google what you need to know. I have a few pics in the gallery where I have used the lens.

Graham, how does it work? is it quick focusing, and whats the zoom range like? are there any bad points to the lens?

I have the same lens and I have used it a few times with my D5100. I have bought a D600 now, so will test this soon on a FX body. On your D3200, it should do fine and it is much better than the 55-300 or 55-200 DX lenses. I have used the DX lenses and this one smokes those two.

My feedback on the lens:
+
The VC part is fantastic - You can see it on the VF and it locks image stablisation really well. This helps in taking the shot since you can see all movement before engaging it has stopped.
Allows you to take shots at low shutter speeds - I have tested it at 1/30, 1/15 and 1/10 with good results
Zoom range is excellent - on DX you get more reach like 450mm, on the other hand widest you'd get is 105mm. Perfect for wildlife, zoo, birds etc.
It is a sharp lens and appears to be better at 200-300 mm compared to Nikon equivalent.

Heavy, but well balanced on my D5100
Slow lens in terms of aperture - but it is much cheaper than the 70-200 2.8 lenses , so it is a not a downside actually. It is not for low light shooting unless on tripod or you have hands like rock.
You may hear some noise while engaging and disengaging the VC, but it is not a fault.

Here's a couple of pics I shot with it on my D5100 - 1st one shot outside early evening and the 2nd one shot indoor in low light.
