Hi this will be my first slr camera all this is new to me which one should i get is the extra £100 for the d5300 worth it??

Can you not stretch to the d5500? Fantastic little camera and about £375 new on eBay
 
the d5500 is out of my price range sorry its only that price for the body i want it to come with the kit lens

I much preferred it over the d5300.
Has a touch screen. Which is nice for navigating the menu and zooming in on photos etc. or even selecting the focus point.
a very nice deep grip (similar to the d750 I think) which makes it comfortable to hold. It's extremely lightweight. Pop a 50mm g prime on it and it's magic.
