Nikon D40 batteries

Long time lurker, first time poster!

Been looking for a spare battery for my Nikon D40 (battery no = EN-EL9e). I have seen many "fakes" and 3rd party batteries on Fleabay and the like but not found many decent sellers out there.

I have read an interesting thread about fake batteries on here but there was no consensus for a decent source of Nikon batteries.

So, TP forumites - let me have your recommendations....!

7DAYSHOP compatibles always get decent write ups on here, I have used them for Canon DSLR, Fuji & Panasonic bridge cameras without any trouble and have always been long lasting.

Ive had two different compatibles from amazon and both worked flawlessly. They even work on my D5000 now. For £10-15, the charge is the same, if not better than my original.

I wouldnt hesitate again unless the official was only marginally more expensive.

My D40 is incredibly light on power consumption, and I've used the cheapest eBay generic batts I could find for the past three years with no issues at all.

Battery life is pretty much identical to the original, and they've been fine in demanding situations such as multiple successive onboard flash dumps. I'd happily recommend buying cheap for the D40!
