Is there such a thing? I think I'm going to need one for some things that I want to try out..

Anyone have any knowledge on this? Had the camera just over a week and already contemplating part-ex'in it in lol

Thanks in advance, I hope someone can help :(

Somewhere in the manual is (almost certainly) a list of accessories and I would expect there to be a remote release of some sort in that list. At a guess, it'll be the ML-3 Infra Red jobbie which retails for a bit over a tenner (cheaper alternatives are probably available).

If you're seriously contemplating an upgrade, hold off on buying the remote relese unless the model you plan on upgrading to uses the same one!

Yeah you can get cheap infa red ones on ebay for like £2. You may not be away that your camera has a timer on there which might help you with trying try out.

Ive got hold of some gear today, including an infrared release, managed to get the settings so when i press the button the shutter opens and another press will close it, quite happy with it!

Have fun i loved my d40x in fact shooting at iso 100 i prefer the images from it than my d5100.
