Nikon D60 Zooooooom Lens!

Hey all sorry for this question, but I am struggling to find zoom lens which will work with this camera nikon d60? ideally would like up to 300mm but cant seem to find one which works with it? Does anyone have this camera and if so what zoom lens do you use?

Depends on your budget...

Nikon 70-300 AFS VR would do the job, at around £300-350

OR, the Nikon 55-200 AFS at about £120

Cash is king, as they say.. How much do you want to spend?

If i wait till pay day I suppose I could spend the £300ish as long as the missus don't find out what about other makes tamron or sigma?

the 70-300 is a decent lens, it all comes down to how much you want to spend though

i sold my 70-300 a month back for £260 posted, kep an eye out for them second hand

A choice from:

70-300 AF-S VR
55-200 AF-S VR (Good mid-range, cheap)
18-200 AF-S VR (best all rounder, but most expensive)

I have the 18-200 and I honestly think it's brilliant. It's extremely versatile and always produces very sharp images.

70-300 VR is your only real way to 300mm mate...

This was what made me sell my d40 for a d50, the lack of focus drive pin really made glass alot more expensive, than any saving made on a body.

Bigger lens any day mate.

For the D60 I dont think any of the Tamron or Sigma equivalents will work properly.

Nikkor 70-300 VR is the way to go.
