Hi people

Looking to upgrade to full frame and having a dilemma which to go for either the nikon d600 or the canon 6d. I have no other kit e.g lens/flashguns etc so will be starting from scratch. From reviews ive been reading the d600 seems to have the edge. Both have alot to offer but i dont really see the benefit of gps/wifi for myself. D600 seems to have alot better af + dual sd slots and higher mp count. Im struggling to decide as ive always used canon but willing to give nikon ago if thats the better option.ive handled both and both feel great. Any help would be great and i mainly shoot portraits (babys/toddlers) and landscapes and very keen aviation (fast jets) also any samples from either body would be great.

Big Thanks

Kerry

The D600 is by design a great camera, and IMHO the gap between the D600 and its more expensive brothers is considerably smaller than between the 6D and the 5D Mk III for example.

However, there is this 'oil on the sensor' issue, which for me made the D600 unusable, although I was readily prepared to clean the sensor myself. I just had to clean it too often to be practical for me.

And since oil on the sensor also means 'wet cleaning', it is not a cheap thing either, even if you do it yourself. Those swabs cost quite a bit of money.

Hopefully I am past the dust issue now and I find the D600 a pleasure to use. Great dynamic range and ISO handling. Love everything about it personally.
