Nikon D600...replacement for?

So with it being an FX body where does it place itself in Nikons current lineup?

D7000 replacement? D300s replacement?

New model all together from what I can gather.

Probably a D7000 replacement as the D300s is more of a wildlife body due to better weathersealing thanks to its pro body. When the price settles it'll be a very attractive upgrade option for anyone looking at going FF

Hmmm.

I'd bet we won't see a D300s replacement. I think it will be plastic bodies all the way up to D800 now and it could well be that they are trying to wind down on dx models?

I don't really are the point of a good DX now...

Perhaps they will replace D7000 with a newer dx sesnor but I'd imagine the way forward is full frame and they have made the right descision to go high MP to retain a decent dx crop.

Who knows but that's my guess!

Yeah seems like they're trying to make FX more affordable to the consumer market maybe. Although the rrp is quite steep.

Glad i've invested in some FX glass...

Maybe it's Nikon trying to balance out their range for the near future.
