Hi,

Recently purchased a Nikon D610, and loving it, got a shoot tomorrow and would like to select a single foci point, but can't work out how to select it, so was wondering if anyone could assist me?

Thanks

might help - just checked mine and it does not seem to have the usual 3 position switch to select singlepoint/centreweight/matrix, but I only have manual focus lenses so not really used the af functionality so far.

middle button of the focus selector on the left side, hold it in and turn the rear command dial until it says AF - S in the LCD screen, frond dial changes the number. Good luck with the shoot!

Genius, thanks

Unable to try last night but seemed straight forward today when I try I can't change the focus point. It's says on the info auto and shows 39 points, and AF-A but using the directional pad I can't change anything

Have you got the camera mode dial (top of camera, left side) set to auto instead of aperture priority, shutter priority, manual? My d7100 info screen says auto showing all points and AF-A when it's in fully auto mode. When it's in shutter, aperture or manual it always allows the focus point to be moved. I think the d7100 and d610 probably have similar operation/menu setup but I could be wrong.
