Nikon D70

I have been offered one of these secondhand complete with underwater housing. Those who have read my previous postings will know that i intend to get an uderwater housing set up for while I am diving. I also want to get into photography more generally to.

But I don't know much about Nikons to be honest, I dont know if i would be buying a dud camera just because I want a underwater setup to.

Any advice regarding the D70 will be a great help.

its a great camera
any make/model can be a dud when you buy second hand

an average d70 will be in the region of £200, maybe more if the condition is top notch

d70 screen is smaller than a d70s screen, I dunno if thats a factor or not

The d70 is a great DSLR. I had one for a few years and got great shots with it.

Another shout out for the D70 - it was my first DSLR and is now on it's 3rd owner and going strong!

Thumbs up here too. It's well built (mine has been dropped on rocks, battered and bruised yet still turns out great images).

I was gonna sell mine when I bought a D200 but I just couldn't part with it, and I'm glad I didn't.I use it as a second body.Its small, light, tough and produces superb images.
It was a thousand quid when it launched!
