Nikon D700 with a Meyer 50mm Lens can it be made to work?

I have a old Meyer 50mm lens which I love for its bubble bokeh, I sold my Sony A900 that it used to live on and I want to use it on a full frame again. Nikon D700s can be picked up for peanuts and I need to know if an adaptor can be fitted to the D700 to fit Pentax screw. Also have a Nikor 105mm I would love to use again, best portrait lens I eer owned not used it since I had my old Nikon FM2.

I know that is available, I have one somewhere that I used with old Helios lenses. For much the same reason, unique Bokeh.

Thanks I found one from Kood, which has the glass in it to allow infinity focus with the Meyer. I use Kood filters, not the best but good enough for my needs. so figure the adaptor will be reasonable quality.

It will be great to have a Nikon again , my dad bought me a s/h Nikormat when I was 9, always loved the brand but never owned a Nikon DSLR

Nothing like pressing your eye up against that viewfinder.

Most (every one I have tried at least) of the adapters which include optical infinity correction lenses have caused moderate to fairly major image degradation. CAs increase and overall sharpness decreases. Any optical imperfections of the main lens tend to be amplified by the corrective lens in the adapter, similar to cheap film era teleconverters.

I have only used them for adapting Canon FD lenses to EF bodies but I suspect it will be the same with any Nikkor-'X' adapters. I seem to recall the best of them was an Urth adapter but it still wasn't good enough for my tastes. That said lots of people use vintage glass on modern bodies for the 'character' of the lens so these infinity corrective adapters certainly give you that, although possibly more than you want.

It's a shame but the Nikon F mount register is too long for pretty much all other mounts, without glass adapters.

I picked up a z6 instead for this reason.
