Nikon d700

Technically yes, but nothing has replaced it really. The d800 and d600 are very different.

Really? It's still shown as a current model on Nikon's Japan, USA and UK web sites.

Nikon are strange when it comes to this. They rarely actually announce discontinuation, they just phase models out over a long period. Same happened with the d90, d300, d60 and more.

It is still a current model, as nothing has directly replaced it, even though Nikon always say new models aren't replacements, they are continuations.
That's why I said "technically yes"

As long as some shops still have them available new, I would say it's a current model. Once they're sold out and no more are available from Japan, it's discontinued IMO.

Its not listed for sale on Camera Price Buster anymore - do any UK stockists have any stock left?

Obviously not tried every UK retailer but none of the ones I have tried have ay left.

On Amazon today they are quoting a silly price for a new D700 of £2399.
You can buy a D800 for less than that.
