Nikon D7000 Magnifying Eyepiece

Does anyone know of any comparision images on the web which show the view change through the eyepiece?

The viewfinder of the D7000 is really bothering me, enough to consider selling. However I don't want to rush into anything and was wondering if a magnifying eyepiece would solve the problem.
 
I thought the viewfinder on the D7000 was one of its best features, one of the best on a DX camera. Obviously not as good as an FX or film camera but what have you tried that's better?

I too tried a DK-21M on it and didn't like it.

Both full frame are they not? I'm not too up on FF viewfinders but I believe they're clearer/brighter than any crop camera 'finder... Certainly the viewfinder on my F80 looks far nicer than my D90.

That's right.... both fullframe.

I didn't exect the D7000 viewfinder to equal them but I am surprised it's as small as it is. Although I seem to recall the finder on my D300 being bigger - that's selective memory for you!

I've got one on my D700 together with a 19 eyecup (note - not D7000!) and its perfectly fine... The enlargement is helpful to be absolutly sure focus is on the eye (etc) in low light/shallow dof situations...i don't see any reason to not have it tbh, you can always crop the edges if something sneaks in!

Yup, any FX DSLR will have a similar viewfinder to a film SLR. Every so often I get out my F80 and enjoy the (relatively) huge viewfinder. If the OP wants to see a really small viewfinder he should try a D5000 or D5100....
