Anyone any ideas what the fault may be with a Nikon D7000 with a 'slow shutter' fault?

Would the best repair be a new shutter assembly from eBay or is it something wrong in the 'brains' of the camera? Anyone had this professionally fixed and know the cost?

Chris,

Care to explain what you mean by "slow shutter fault" and under which conditions you get this?

Don't know, I've not got the camera yet. Just wondering if it is worth touching, or leave well alone!

I'd leave well alone. It could be anything.
Maybe for exposures longer then half of a second it jut locks up and stays open?? But as I said, it could be anything.

Maybe message the seller and get some more info on the camera.

I've got a budget in mind, and it comes with other stuff, so I'm evaluating it as a complete deal.

I've asked the seller a question about other items, but they are not camera specialists, I assume they deal in returned items.

Could be something as simple as exposure delay mode selected in the menu. Without more details its not a risk Id be prepared to take!

Thanks for the replies, missed out on the camera in question anyways
