Considering a D7100 but keep reading they are noisey over 800iso, find this strange for such a modern camera

Can't find an owners thread

Any owners out there? Pro's con's? I had a D7000 previously any noticeable improvements? and in what areas

Any comments appreciated
 
I've used both and although IQ was slightly improved on the D7100 I didn't think it was a great leap. The biggest issue I had was the very limited buffer size of the D7100 drove me nuts.
My dads D7200 is much better, but they are still big money.
