My import is straight to DNG and so that would scrap the built-in jpeg.
Ah yeah, true. I don't bother converting

Just had a look at the MagMod, looks quite good. How well does it soften the light? Do you just have the sphere, or do you have the kit with the grid and magnetic clip?Bounce or the MagMod sphere mainly. WHich obviously isn't huge, but better than nothing.
I used to take pop up softboxes, but they're a faff and get in the way and you end up missing moments because you're dicking about with making your light as soft as possible, and clients don't give a monkeys.
Is there a reason you convert to DNG?My import is straight to DNG and so that would scrap the built-in jpeg.

Interesting about the xmp files, how does it store the changes without these? I always save the xmp files just in case my library gets corrupt I've still got the RAW and the changes that I applied with the xmp.Yes, slightly smaller file size is the main reason; no more additional side-car xmp file and Adobes commitment of future proofing.
I guess, way back when I was learning LR, I bought a couple of Scott Kelby books and it was always his recommendation too.

Love the 1st oneI've been going through the images I took during the rut at Woburn this year. I've not posted many of them yet but will start posting them on flickr and on here over the next few weeks/months.

I used to have the old Sigma 20mm f1.8 and it was a very good lens so I'd imagine that the Art is wonderful
I miss that lens.
what's a good price for the 85mm AF-S f1.8 used?
Local facebook selling site is selling for £250
Sweet! Collecting tomorrow!Would say that’s a pretty good price HDEW have them new for £350. See them around used for £285-£300.
Prices seem to have gone up since I bought mine a while back, used from store you’re looking around £350 so assuming it’s in great knick and the G version it sounds a old price at £250.what's a good price for the 85mm AF-S f1.8 used?

It was mentioned a while ago how the 1.4 primes are a little slower to focus than a 2.8 zoom. There's a little truth in that with the longer FL's for sure but the 35 is as quick as my 24-70 and just never misses a beat for me. The little one was two at the weekend and the sun was streaming in through the window when I took these. Should have used a blink of flash to balance a tad but in the moment didn't have one to hand, a great combo the 750/35 1.4.. (not normally the kind of thing I share but haven't done much lately)
Nice. Have to say the 35 1.4 is a beast. Fast becoming my favourite lens. Well maybe after the 58!
It's my most used lens by a country mile, always on one of the bodies, wouldn't swap it for anything. Generally leave the 35 & 58 on each body and tends to be whatever I grab first for general family stuff.
Me too. Just need to try them on my Nikon film body now
Ha! Thought film was dead for you? Which body?
Yep, can’t resist the lure of film Bought a Nikon F80, last of the pre digital bodies so it’s pretty modern actually.
I was looking at an F100 as a xmas present but opted for a big soft box instead. I’m not convinced I’d use it much.
Wise choice. f80 is a baby f100, baby price too. Mine was £40 quid from the devil bay and that was pricey!

Yeah I have an F80, lovely cameras.
And an OM10.
Not developed a single roll of film though lol
Is that real ?I almost bought an F100 the other day. Then I remembered the last time I put a roll of film through a camera and came to my senses.
This thread is short of waterfowl.
Sweet! Collecting tomorrow!
