now thats what i call functional legsIt's ages since I've been in here! Here's one from my last shoot with the D750 for a bit; it's gone away to have the focus system re-calibrated.

That's Beltane^^^^^
that's some rave
Is it just me or is the D750 a bit of a bargain now? Popped into Jessops today to see how it felt in hand but they didn't have one. Did try the Z6 and didn't like the feel of it - not happy if my pinky falls off the grip. The other thing I wanted to check was the viewfinder. Big and bright?
I guess so, I'm pretty happy with the results albeit was a pretty quick edit really just to show how useful the highlight metering mode is.That's incredible, but is there not more detail in that sky that you could have kept, or did you want rid of the grey clouds?
cannot go wrong with a 750, my mate just bought one from Jessops last week for under £1500 with the 24-120 VR lens.
If your rider is stationary, AF-S and recompose. If your rider is in motion, you probably don't want to be zoomed in that close anyway for the points to cause a problemIt is a great buy at the mo. I’m hesitating because of the close spread of af points. I do a lot of vertical photos of tiddlers with the top focus point on an eye and think the top point is going to be too low.

It is an issue tbh, and although the D850 was better it still caused issue from time to time in landscape orientation. I learnt to have a wider shot than intended so that the focus point was on the subject and then cropped in post. The only other way around it is to go mirrorless tbh.It is a great buy at the mo. The D750 is only a gnats smaller coverage than the D800 tbhDeal breaker for me. Looks like another D800 will do the job instead.

The D850 is the best of the lot though, here you can see it against the D810 which I believe is similar to the D800

Pros and cons for each tbh. I would say overall the Sony is the better camera but ergonomics don’t suit everyone, and I know it’s vastly improved but I still don’t think Sony’s colour science and WB is as good as Nikon’s. Obviously this is a very personal thing. Also, for me I find the Nikon profiles in lightroom have more ‘pop’ and need a lot less faffing, again this is personal preference.Having had a successful stint with m4/3 I'm now looking to move back to full frame and while most of my focus has been on the a7iii I just can't shake the feeling that the D750 is incredible bang for buck. It's really made me question the whole sony vs nikon systems (esp lenses) and which one I'd rather buy into. A used or grey D750 and couple of f1.8 primes is surprisingly cheap for the quality you get...

Good job thenI always shoot raw files. How the hell have I spent the morning shooting small jpegs? :banghead:
Thankfully everything is as rubbish as usual!
I have one and it is a great walk around, toying with the idea of going primes only so I might be selling mine, depends on the cost of replacements.
