Nikon D750 Liveview / focus question

Hi All


Does anyone know if you can set the live view focus points the same as the viewfinder focus points. I use 9 focus points, and back button focusing on AF continues. However, when I switch to live view the following happens.

  • Scrolling across the screen takes forever. I want 9 focus points in live view so I can quickly select.

  • When I press the backbutton focus, it focusses, however, if I recompose whilst keeping the BBF pressed, it doesn’t refocus. I have to release and the press again.

I want to live view focussing and focus points to be like, and behave the same as the when using the viewfinder…..anyone know if that’s posisble as I cant find it on the net or in the manual.

Live view uses contrast AF not the mirrorbox AF unit, not sure that's possible (in my experience)
