Nikon D80 and Tokina 35mm f2.8

A friend has asked me if this lens:

would be any good on his D80 - as a Canon man I have no idea but I am sure you will all know

Whilst i can't say whether the image quality will any good - as I don't have any experience of this lens - it will work on the D80 and give full functions (i.e. auto-focus and metering).

Unless your friend needs the macro close focus, I'd strongly suggest taking a look at the 35mm 1.8 DX. Fantastic little lens!!
