Nikon D80 on the cheap

I have a D80 and it's not a bad starter camera at all. I also have a D300 and the image quality is certainly a lot better on the D300 than the D80. I've never used a D90 but I believe it is fairly similar internally to the D300 and image quality is similar but it's all housed in the cheaper, non-weather sealed body. I also hear the iso capability is better on the D90 than it is on the D300 so the D90 will be a mile better than the D80. You also get the video capability in the D90 if that's something you are after.

In short, if you can afford it then go for the D90, it's a very decent camera.

that's a very good price, but that offer probably was on last stock they had left floating about in a few stores as not seen a d80 in any store for awhile now.

i too looked at a d80 when upgrading from the d40, but decided to go for sony a300 due to price and features it has

I would of bought it after reading a few reviews and it would of saved a few quid. but D90 is my route now.

The D80 is an old camera now, but given that the 18-135 is still worth £150 or so on Fleabay that would have been a fantastic buy...

yeah same here, bargain. :(
