Hi,

I've just purchased a secondhand Nikon D80, so not used to the function settings.

I'm confused by the flashing warning, "bulb"
When I select Shutter Priority "bulb" keeps flashing whatever ISO setting I choose, ex. 200, 400, 600.

Please explain what this is about.

Dave

Bulb means that the shutter will be open as long as you hold the shutter button down for. To change this setting, move the front dial to the right and the time the shutter is open will decrease (starting at 30", which is 30 seconds)

Enjoy your D80, was my first camera, it's great :)

Tom is pretty much right but it's the rear dial that controls the shutter speed

If the screen is showing BULB then you've wound the shutter speed all the way down to beyond it's slowest speed.

Hope this helps :)

Ha my bad, I meant front as in in front of you when using it :D
