I beleive the aspect for the D90 is 3x2.

My understanding is that if I get a print developed at 6 x4 then the full image should be presented.

If I went 7 x 5 or 10 x 8 for instance would there be some cropping if I got them printed at somewhere like costco?

This might be more appropriate for the Talk Basics forum, but this has just dawned on me. Would I have to crop the images manually in PS to avoid some details being cut off?

Any help much apprieciated.

I always crop manually - I'd rather choose what I wanted, than let someone else or a computer decide how to crop the images.

thanks for your reply-

So the best thing to do would be to open a new document at the resolution required and copy the image in to that and resize as required? Or can you change the image size or is it canvas size?

Whats the best way to do it?

Please:thinking:

I just use the ratio crop tool to get the right crop. Stretching/squashing the image to get it to conform is only going to affect the IQ, I just crop the full size image.
